What you’ll contribute to:

The Operations Administrator role provides administrative support to the Aviation team in a professional and competent manner by facilitating and supporting day-to-day tasks across the aviation business unit. The role includes administration and minor compliance and project related tasks for the aviation department to ensure, as a team, Townsville Airport are meeting all regulatory and best practice requirements. The base ordinary hourly rate of pay for this position is $34.68 excluding Superannuation.

Key deliverables/responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support to the Aviation Team as directed by the Operations and Standards Manager.
  • Diary management, travel booking, and general administrative support to the General Manager Regional Airports.
  • Process purchase orders for the Aviation Department using Finance One system as required.
  • Support the maintenance of the aviation operational document suite and assist with database management tasks.
  • Undertake the issuance, recording, and documentation of licences, permits, and access devices, in line with TAPL requirements, and assist the QAL ASIC issuing body by fulfilling the responsibilities of an ASIC issuing agent.

 

About you:

  • Demonstrated administrative experience with strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry software
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also taking initiative in individual tasks
  • Experience in the aviation industry or a similar highly regulated environment, with a working knowledge of airport operations, is desirable.
  • Eligibility to obtain and hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC). This requires the passing of an ASIO security assessment and an Australian Federal Police criminal records check. (Required)
  • Full training will be provided to the successful candidate
