What you’ll contribute to:

An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated and innovative Marketing Coordinator to join the QAL Commercial team. The role is a permanent position, reporting through to the Marketing Manager/GM Marketing.   

The Marketing Coordinator will support a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, and social media for all Queensland Airports Limited Airports.  

 

Melanie, who joined our Gold Coast Airport (GCA) as a Marketing Coordinator in 2022 shares her unique experience working at GCA below:

“I joined Queensland Airports Limited (QAL) in October 2022 as a Marketing Coordinator, after spotting a job ad while working as ground crew for Jetstar in the terminal. I’d just finished my Bachelor degree in Communications and Journalism and knew I wanted to stay in aviation, but step into a role where I could use my degree and be creative. QAL felt like the perfect fit.

 

Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to grow my skills, take on meaningful projects and contribute to work that supports the bigger picture. From social media planning and strategy to content creation and larger initiatives like our website redevelopment project – there’s always something new to learn and do. I love the balance of creative thinking and hands-on execution.

 

The flexibility here has also been a huge benefit. There’s a strong sense of trust and support. Being able to shift my hours or work from home when needed has made a big difference to how I work and feel each day.

 

But the best part? The people. The team is genuinely lovely – supportive, passionate and always ready to have a laugh or lift you up when you need it. It’s a place where you feel motivated, supported and valued.”

 

The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail, have excellent report writing skills, and be able to manage multiple priorities at once. Strong communication and team-work skills are required, since this role will be shared with another person. No prior experience is required, recent graduates are welcome to apply for this position.

 

How will you make an impact?

We are seeking a highly motivated professional who shares our Commercial team's dedication to delivering innovative and high-quality services. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field, and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in all aspects of their work.

 

Key deliverables/responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate the development of a range of marketing activities with Queensland Airport Limited (QAL) partners. This includes sponsorship assets, digital and social content creation, collateral development and website management
  • Maintain content management system (CMS) and digital asset management platforms.
  • Coordinate merchandising requirements for QAL team and marketing activities.  
  • Generating monthly social media reports for Senior Management. 
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of the company’s brand strategy.
