This is a unique opportunity to combine your technical maintenance expertise with leadership responsibilities, overseeing the upkeep of the terminal, Ivy Peace Building, Airport Central, Retail Storage Area and other airport-managed facilities.

Stuart joined GCA in 2004 as a Grounds Maintenance Officer. Stuart shares his unique experience of working at GCA:

Over the years, I've enjoyed the variety the job brings - no two days are quite the same. Gold Coast Airport provides a stable and supportive workplace, with rostered hours that suit my work-life balance, and a culture I genuinely value.’

How will you make an impact?

As the Leading Hand, Terminal Maintenance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring Gold Coast Airport's facilities remain safe, reliable and operating at their best. Your ability to build strong relationships, solve problems proactively and drive continuous improvement will help deliver a seamless experience for airport customers, tenants and stakeholders. Just as importantly, you'll foster a positive team culture where safety, collaboration and service excellence are at the forefront of everything you do.

Key deliverables/responsibilities

In this role, no two days are the same, with responsibilities spanning maintenance operations, contractor management, budgeting, administration, safety and team leadership.

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and coordinate the Terminal Maintenance team to deliver high-quality maintenance services.
  • Manage preventative and reactive maintenance programs across airport facilities.
  • Oversee building services, infrastructure and terminal systems to ensure operational reliability.
  • Coordinate and supervise specialist contractors and service providers.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and asset management records.
  • Contribute to maintenance budgets, capital works planning and contract management.
  • Procure goods and services in line with company policies and approved delegations.
  • Coach, develop and support team members to achieve business objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a positive team culture.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, environmental and aviation safety requirements.
