We currently have an exciting opportunity for a full-time receptionist to join the team at Townsville Airport.  Based at Townsville Airport, our Administration team provides effective and efficient support to our greater Airport team to enable our operations.

How will you make an impact?

We’re looking for a detail oriented and proactive individual to join the team. If you enjoy keeping things organised, staying on top of tasks, and supporting a professional environment, this role is for you. Our ideal candidate is someone with a strong customer focus and exceptional organisational skills to join our team. You’ll bring a solid working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to handle tasks with efficiency and attention to detail. While experience in a similar role is desirable, we’re committed to providing comprehensive training to set you up for success.

Key deliverables/responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Administration

  • Efficiently handle administrative tasks such as distributing and preparing mail, word processing, data entry, and maintaining up-to-date lists and registers.
  • Manage appointments with precision and ensure meetings and events are seamlessly organised, including catering arrangements.
  • Provide administrative support for airport operations, such as visitor passes and car parking, ensuring smooth coordination and documentation.
  • Oversee the handling and tracking of lost property, ensuring items are logged, stored securely, and appropriately actioned.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Airport team as needed, ensuring smooth operations across the board.

Reception

  • Be the welcoming face of the Townsville Airport Management Centre, delivering exceptional customer service to all guests.
  • Answer and manage phone calls professionally while maintaining the office phone system.
  • Keep the reception area presentable and efficient.

Financial and Procurement Support

  • Create and manage Purchase Orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Book staff travel arrangements, ensuring all bookings are cost-effective and meet travel policy.
  • Order office and operational supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained to support day to day activities.
