Queensland Airports Limited (QAL) is seeking a Marketing Specialist to support the development and delivery of brand strategy, campaigns and positioning across our four airport precincts.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the daytoday execution of brand activity, coordinating campaigns from concept through to delivery, supporting media planning, managing creative development, and ensuring brand consistency across all channels and touchpoints. You’ll play a key role in delivering engaging, onbrand marketing that enhances the passenger experience and strengthens QAL’s brand presence.

Carly joined Queensland Airports Pty Ltd (QAL) in 2022 as a Strategic Communications Executive and has since moved into the Media and Communications Manager role, working closely alongside the Marketing team. Carly shares her unique experience of working at QAL:

“I enjoy working at QAL because every day is different. The aviation industry is a dynamic and face-paced working environment, and the team is passionate about what we do. Airports are exciting workplaces that facilitate valuable connections for people and communities and being a part of that is something I find really rewarding. I also love having the ability to work across QAL’s four airports, providing a valuable opportunity to foster connections with team members across all areas of the business as well as in the communities where we operate”.

How will you make an impact?

You’ll bring 5+ years’ experience in a brand or campaign-focused role, supported by a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline. Ideally, you’ll have a strong background in brand content and be comfortable managing campaigns endtoend using project management platforms, including overseeing brand approvals. Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders is essential, and exposure to people leadership is highly desirable.

Key deliverables/responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work collaboratively with the General Manager Marketing to ensure brand strategy, messaging and tone of voice remain consistent across all Queensland Airports Limited (QAL) airports and communication channels.
  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of strategic brand marketing campaigns, particularly within the competitive Gold Coast Airport catchment area, to boost brand awareness and passenger engagement.
  • Oversee and guide the performance of external marketing agencies, ensuring alignment with QAL’s brand standards and expectations.
  • Collaborate with the QAL Strategic Communications team to create and leverage public relations opportunities and support key sponsorships that reinforce positive brand perceptions and support business objectives.
