What you’ll contribute to:

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of bringing Queensland Airports Limited (QAL’s) people strategy to life across the portfolio you support. Using your experience in people and culture, you’ll work closely with leaders to build capability, shape a positive culture, and support solutions that help teams and the business thrive, both now and into the future.

You’ll be a trusted partner throughout the employee journey, offering guidance and support while leading initiatives that boost performance and engagement. You’ll also play a key role in projects that help us continuously improve how we work, lead, and grow together at QAL.

Lauren joined QAL in 2023 in the role of Senior Project Manager and shares her experience about what she loves about working at QAL

“I joined QAL seeking a new challenge in aviation and enjoy working on a diverse range of projects alongside the supportive and engaging Property, Projects and Planning team. QAL offers a rewarding environment with meaningful stakeholder engagement, genuine flexibility to balance work and family, and strong programs that support career development and wellbeing.”

How will you make an impact?

You’ll bring a great balance of hands-on delivery and big-picture thinking, and feel comfortable rolling up your sleeves when needed to support the business. This will allow you to make a real difference at QAL. By building strong relationships, using sound judgement, and applying modern people and ER practices, you’ll support leaders through change, strengthen capability, and help create environments where people feel supported and can do their best work. You’ll also play an important role in bringing QAL’s social purpose to life—championing inclusive, responsible and values-led practices that foster safe, engaged and high-performing workplaces across our airports

Key deliverables/responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Delivering end‑to‑end People & Culture support across designated portfolios, with a strong business partnering focus
  • Providing trusted advice on workplace relations, leadership practices, performance management and workforce planning
  • Partnering with leaders to build capability, manage change and deliver effective people outcomes
  • Supporting people‑related projects and initiatives aligned to QAL’s strategic pillars and People priorities
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of people processes, systems and practices

How we support you

At Queensland Airports Limited (QAL), we believe work should support life, not compete with it. Through our Living Well approach, we offer flexible working options for all roles, wellbeing initiatives and a supportive culture so our people can thrive both professionally and personally.

Our vision is to be the first-choice gateway for our regions, creating valuable connections and inspiring a sustainable future.

We’re committed to an inclusive and psychologically safe workplace where people feel valued, supported and encouraged to be themselves. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every requirement.
