What you’ll contribute to:
We are looking for a casual Works Safety Officer (WSO) to join the Gold Coast Airport team. This is a highly valued role for the team as its purpose is to be the frontline overseer of works and project activities to ensure aviation and operational safety and compliance. If successful, you will be rostered across a 24/7 roster in line with these works and so may be required to work nights.
Katie joined Gold Coast Airport Pty Ltd (GCA) in early 2021 as a Works Safety Officer and has since moved into an Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) role. Katie shares her unique experience working with GCA below:

How will you make an impact?
If you have previous experience in providing emergency, security and safety services or in roles where you have worked with heavy machinery/equipment, logistics, we want to hear from you!
While not essential, if you have prior experience in working in aviation or another highly regulated environment, that will be highly valued.
In order to be successful, you must also hold a current Drivers Licence and have the ability to obtain an Aeronautical Radio Operating Certificate.
The base ordinary hourly rate of pay, including casual loading for this position starts from $43.35 (ex super) for trainees.
Key deliverables/responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Supervise Aerodrome works, including liaison with air traffic and ground control, works organisation/contractors on a regular basis when work is in progress to ensure the safety of aircraft operations and aerodrome personnel.
