What you’ll contribute to:

An exciting opportunity has recently become available for a talented and innovative General Manager Technology to join QAL’s senior leadership team.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer this role is responsible and accountable for driving the Technology strategy, including cyber security, operations and project delivery across all business areas including airports, property and corporate business units. As a member of the General Manager team, this role will also contribute to the development of strategic direction and corporate effectiveness of Queensland Airports Limited (QAL) Group.

We are looking for an energetic and committed individual with demonstrated experience as a senior manager in the fields of technology. You will pride yourself on delivering innovative technology solutions and have an in-depth understanding of the airport/aviation industries and trends.

Key deliverables/responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Delivering the Technology strategic plan with a clear vision on the future of the airport opportunities
• Play a senior integral role in supporting the development, enablement and execution of the QAL Data, Digital and Innovation Strategy.
• Develop and implement the technology roadmap ensuring projects and initiatives are prioritised based on business needs and financial returns.
• Facilitate across Group technology driven innovation projects to improve and enable operational efficiency, revenue generation and business strategic outcomes
• Facilitation and delivery of infrastructure projects to enhance business operational efficiency and customer and employee experience outcomes
• Ensuring effective alignment of QAL Group systems and procedures
• Establishing networks to promote business opportunities for the QAL Group
• Develop a highly engaged team that can deliver lean agile solutions complemented by their ability to build strong relationships
• Pro-active leadership of the technology team, including responsibility for network infrastructure, software implementation, cybersecurity, cloud migration, data security, hardware installation, information systems, systems architecture assessments, standards ad policy enforcement, asset management and monitoring of QAL Group IT and communication management.

The successful candidate will be tertiary qualified in information technology, business, or another related discipline and have a depth of experience in delivering innovative technology outcomes across operations, customer experience, cyber security and project implementation. 

You will have proven ability in leading high performing teams, successful Technology Project Management and a demonstrated ability to communicate, influence, interact positively and build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders to achieve corporate objectives.
